Big Bertha 08 irons are outfitted with several core technologies, including both relatively new innovations and technologies that have stood the test of time. The clubs' Extreme Notch Weighting, for instance, redistributes weight to the low, rearward area of the club in the toe and heel, creating a high moment of inertia (MOI). This improves your distance and accuracy on mis-hits at the heel and toe, making it easier to approach the green. The clubs also take advantage of Variable Face Thickness (VFT) technology, which allows Callaway engineers to lower the center of gravity to produce an optimum trajectory with each iron in the set, giving long irons a higher launch angle and short irons and wedges a better trajectory height.
